The concepts behind the programs and the score - so you know what you're doing and why it works. Progressive overload, RPE, deloads, and prioritizing your weak points.
Read the Full Guide →Muscle grows when you ask it to do a little more over time. Each week, aim to add a small amount of weight or one or two more reps than last time, and log every set so you know what to beat. Tiny gains stack into a transformation.
RPE is how hard a set felt, on a 1-10 scale based on reps left in reserve:
Living at RPE 7-8 builds the most muscle per unit of fatigue. Grinding to failure every set just digs a recovery hole.
Every 4th week in the phased programs is a deload: about 40-60% of your normal weight for the same reps. It feels easy on purpose. Training breaks you down; deloads let you rebuild stronger. Skipping them leads to stalls, aches, and burnout. Take the light week - it's part of the plan.
Whatever you train first gets your freshest effort and grows fastest. That's why weak areas should lead the session. Star up to two priority exercises per day so they jump to the top - even if it changes the program's normal order. The Aesthetic Score's "Train This First" tells you which exercises deserve the stars.
Gradually doing more over time - more weight or more reps - so your muscles keep adapting. It's the core driver of growth.
Most working sets at RPE 7-8 (2-3 reps in reserve). It's the best balance of stimulus and recovery.
Yes. A lighter week every ~4 weeks lets your body recover and rebuild stronger, preventing stalls and burnout.
